September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of Residential Schools, as well as their families and communities.
JEN COL is currently working on several projects with our First Nation partners and on each site our Superintendents helped recognize and commemorate the history and ongoing legacy of residential schools and the trauma experienced by so many by delivering messages to their teams, raising flags and tying ribbons around their sites. We believe the business community, including JEN COL, has an important role to play in reconciliation and commit to ongoing education, reflection and promoting economic reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
We encourage all our partners to learn more about the actions we can take and wear orange to show your support.
