JEN COL Construction was contracted by CapitalCare to renovate two separate areas within the Dickinsfield facility to accommodate the needs of the user groups.
The Young Adult Day Support (YADS) Program provides a structured support program for individuals with physical, emotional and/or social limitations who are between the ages of 18 and 59. The space for this program was originally an aquatic therapy room. After dismantling the pool, new wall structures, doors and frames were installed along with new paint, flooring, millwork and significant mechanical and electrical upgrades.
The second area was for the Comprehensive Home Option of Integrated Care for the Elderly (CHOICE) program which assists seniors to continue living independently and in their own home longer by managing all their health requirements. The CHOICE space, located on the main floor of the Dickinsfield campus, was also renovated into new office, washroom and administrative spaces.
A tight 12-week renovation project timeline was successfully achieved all while the facility was fully occupied and operational.
