Meadows Transit Centre

JEN COL was engaged by the City of Edmonton to construct the Meadows Transit Centre & Park and Ride facility in southeast Edmonton. This project consisted of a 300 m2 heated building with parking for 287 vehicles and 9 dedicated bus stops, plus 5,700 m2 of concrete pavement for the bus turn-around.
This steel and concrete masonry unit structure has no exposed ductwork or conduit and was one of the first transit centres to incorporate a public washroom in the facility. Glazing was also utilized to allow visibility within the transit centre, increasing security and safety for users.
