“This is going to be an exciting addition to our city and aligns with one of the themes in Council’s Strategic Plan, which is Environmental Sustainability for our community. This could not have happened without the significant grant funding we received from the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre and we would like to thank them for this contribution to our city as we work to conserve, protect and enhance the environment for our residents – both now and in the future.”
Spruce Grove, Alberta
City of Spruce Grove
We installed seventeen electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in five different locations around Spruce Grove. The EV charging stations were installed in response to the increasing demand for electric and hybrid vehicles in the city. The City of Spruce Grove proactively took the initiative to meet the needs of their community by providing accessible charging infrastructure as the demand for electric and hybrid vehicles continues to increase.
Our team worked diligently to bring these state-of-the-art charging stations to life, ensuring that both residents and visitors can conveniently power their EVs with ease. The stations feature Level 2 charging technology, designed to deliver reliable power and help you get back on the road quickly. Level 2 chargers are the most commonly available public EV chargers providing an average charge of 40 kilometres of range per hour.
You can find the EV charging stations strategically positioned at three public key destinations in Spruce Grove: two chargers at City Hall, four chargers at the Agrena, and six chargers Fuhr Sports Park. These locations were chosen to provide maximum convenience for EV owners and to support the city’s commitment to sustainable transportation. We also installed EV stations inside the Protective Services building (one charger) and Public Works building (four chargers) for use for City fleet vehicles.
