Project Information:

The City of Spruce Grove Jubilee Park is a major community gathering place which includes a picnic area and picnic shelter, play structure, disc golf course, a plaza and multi-purpose trails. The spray park adds another recreational opportunity and endless hours of summer family fun to the park. The spray park includes a 750 m2 concrete splash deck with over 80 nozzle features. It was designed with the end users in mind; the splash park toys are grouped together by the manufacturer’s recommended age ranges which should help eliminate any potential conflicts between age groups. Near the spray deck there is also a large 130 m2 deck which has tables and assorted seating to enhance the spray park experience for families.

The scope of this project also included two buildings. The first is a kiosk that houses two washrooms and a pavilion that will offer concessions and park toys that can be used by visitors. The second building offers washrooms and change rooms for visitors. It also contains a garage for the City of Spruce Grove maintenance department.

“Adding a spray park, change rooms and a washroom facility to Jubilee Park will further enhance what is already one of our city’s largest gems, while also helping us meet our spontaneous recreation needs in the community,” said Spruce Grove Mayor Stuart Houston in a news release about the park in 2016.

The spray park Grand Opening was on July 1, 2017 as part of The City of Spruce Grove’s Canada Day Celebrations. The park is operated by the City of Spruce Grove and additional information about operating times are available here on their website.
